Meet Marlene Liebenberg

Marlene is a sculptor based in Jefferys Bay working primarily in polyester resin. Her practice began in plasticine clay.
She shaped each piece by hand before moulding and casting into something that feels physical and lasting.
Her work often draws from memory. She aims to translate fleeting human moments into lasting forms.

The sculpture we have is called: “PROUD UNSHAKEN LOOKING FORWARD."

She refused to look down at the pieces that had fallen away.
